Frequently Asked Questions about CardValet®

How do I set up CardValet on my phone?

Download the app to your device and open it. Enter your 16-digit debit card number, your account information, and the last four digits of your Social Security Number. Accept the Terms, Conditions, and Privacy Policy. You can then create an account with your own username and password.

Can I cancel my service with CardValet?
Yes. You can unsubscribe from CardValet at any time.

What are the password requirements for CardValet?
Your passwords must be at least eight characters long, with at least one uppercase character, one lowercase character, a number, and a special character (*@#&, etc.)

What if I forget my password?
On the login screen, tap on “Forgot Password?” Enter your username. In about 5-10 minutes you’ll receive an email token, sent to the address you used to set up the account (it might show up in your spam folder). You can use this to reset your password.

Can multiple cards be linked to one CardValet account?
Yes, if there are multiple debit cards linked to a Field & Main account (family members, business associates, etc.) you can add all of them to your CardValet account by tapping on “settings” followed by “add card.”

Can other debit card users make changes to CardValet restrictions?
No, every card that you register with your CardValet account will be under your control. Only you can impose and release whatever restrictions you place on each card.

What happens when I receive a new debit card?
If you receive a debit card with a new account number, after your card has been activated you can add it to your profile and delete your old card by tapping on “settings” and “manage accounts.”

How do the location settings work?
You can restrict debit cards from being used within a five-mile radius of whatever device that Cardvalet is registered to. This only affects transactions where the card must be present, so Internet transactions would not be affected.
